Badger Bash North: Drivers, pedestrians need to prepare for street closures, exposed pipes
Streets close Saturday for a parade and fireworks. Out-of-towners will be unfamiliar with the downtown sewer project.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay officials are preparing for this Saturday’s Badger Bash North parade and events with advisories for drivers, pedestrians and downtown residents.
About 20,000 people are expected in downtown Green Bay Saturday to celebrate the Wisconsin Badgers and Notre Dame Irish game coming to Titletown.
Some streets will close for the parade, fireworks and other events, and out-of-towners will be unfamiliar with the large pipes running on sidewalks, through parks and in other areas downtown.
Exposed sewer project pipes
The Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District is asking people going to events downtown to stay clear of the large black pipes that are part of a downtown sewer renewal project. People should not sit, climb or stand on the pipes.
