Theisen’s first Fox Cities store now open in Neenah

NEENAH, Wis. (WBAY) — Theisen’s Home-Farm-Auto opened its first store in the Fox Cities at 999 Winneconne Ave. in Neenah, marking the family-owned company’s fifth Wisconsin location.

The store is in a soft opening, with its garden center opening earlier this spring. A grand opening is planned for June 12-14.

The store occupies the former Krueger’s True Value, which was renovated to include a 44,683-square-foot main store with sales floor, offices and expanded warehouse space. The renovation also included a 10,500-square-foot attached pole shed for lumber and supplies.

Theisen’s competes with retailers such as Fleet Farm, Menards and Blain’s Farm and Fleet. It sells products for home, farm, auto, pets, lawn and garden, apparel, footwear, tools, outdoor living and sports.

“Our team has worked hard to prepare this store, and we’re excited for customers to come in, meet our associates, and experience what Theisen’s is all about,” president and CEO Tony Theisen said. “This soft opening gives us the opportunity to welcome the community now, ahead of our grand opening celebration.”

The company plans a special event on June 20 where kids can build and paint a free bird feeder for Father’s Day.

Plans for the Neenah store were announced three months after Theisen’s opened its first Northeast Wisconsin store in Ripon at the end of September. The company also has stores in Black River Falls, Jefferson and Sparta.

The family-owned company has been in business for almost 100 years.
