NEW Zoo opens full Adventure Park for summer season

SUAMICO, Wis. (WBAY) - Some exciting news for people looking to enjoy the outdoors in northeast Wisconsin.

On Saturday, the NEW Zoo opened up its full Adventure Park to kick off the summer season.

The park includes a host of adventure themed activities, allowing those who go to decide their own challenge level.

Some of the areas include a zip line, ropes course and a climbing tower.

There’s even a course for kids between the ages of three and six.

“This is kind of one of those weekends that we hope to see a lot of people, but with school and everything else going on, it tends to be a little bit smaller, but this is a great opportunity for our new staff to get acquainted with the park, get acquainted with the operations that we do here, so we use it as a good training day for them,” said Nathaniel Wagner, adventure park supervisor at the New Zoo and Adventure Park.

The adventure park at the NEW Zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day. Large groups are encouraged to make reservations.
