Woman shot in Oshkosh, suspect in custody

A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Friday night after a shooting on Oshkosh’s north side.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Friday night after a shooting on Oshkosh’s north side.

Oshkosh police responded to a weapons complaint in the 1000 block of Bong Court just after 11:00 Friday night. Officers found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound.

The woman was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police have a suspect in custody. Officers are still actively working the scene and are asking the public to avoid the area.

Police said the incident is believed to be isolated and they are not looking for any other suspects.
