Family dog dies in Oshkosh mobile home fire

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - Oshkosh firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at a mobile home on Sunnyview Road on Monday evening.

The Oshkosh Fire Department was dispatched at 5:23 p.m. to the 900 block of Sunnyview Road for a possible structure fire. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from windows on two sides of the mobile home, according to the department.

Officials said no one was home at the time of the fire. A family dog died in the fire.

The home sustained heavy smoke and fire damage. The fire was determined to have been caused by an electrical issue, the department said.
