‘Walleyes for Tomorrow’ Green Bay chapter launches walleye habitat restoration in Allouez

ALLOUEZ, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay chapter of Walleyes for Tomorrow is launching its very first habitat restoration project in Allouez.
The goal of the initiative is to bolster natural walleyes’ reproduction in the Fox River.
The group placed 300 tons of round cobblestone into a spawning area zone.
The rocks will provide the necessary protection for eggs and will help increase hatch rates.
This is the first of many projects to help increase the walleye population.
