Local couple’s generosity funds nearly 500 books for Oshkosh children

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - Hundreds of Oshkosh-area children will receive the gift of reading this holiday season.

Thanks to a generous donation from Larry and Pam Lang, nearly 500 books were purchased for the Toys for Tots campaign.

The Langs concerned demand might exceed supply after reading about a local book drive that stepped in to help.

Pam, a former elementary school teacher, and Larry, a former finance professor, recognize the magic a book can bring to a child’s life.

The Oshkosh Public Library thanks the Langs for their contribution which will help the Salvation Army distribute books to local families.
