Appleton man pleads guilty to federal child pornography charge

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - 25-year-old James Ching, facing charges for distribution of child pornography, has been sentenced to 100 months in prison, 15 years of extended supervision, and a $6,000 fine.

The Appleton man pleaded guilty to the federal charge against him back in July, after reaching a deal with prosecutors.

Ching is also facing nine felony charges in Outagamie County for possession of child porn.

He has entered not guilty pleas on each of those counts.

Police arrested Ching in March after investigators found photo and video evidence in his possession involving sexual assault on infants and toddlers.
