Two fans banned from Brewers ballpark after confrontation recorded in viral video

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY/WISN) - A Brewers fan and a Dodgers fan are banned from American Family Field following a confrontation between the two that was recorded in a viral video, WISN reports.
The video shows the Brewers fan threatening to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on a Dodgers fan during an argument while at Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Tuesday.
The video has since been viewed over 2 million times on social media.
The Brewers fan was identified as Shannon Kobylarczyk, an attorney at Milwaukee-based staffing firm Manpower. The video resulted in her resignation and job loss.
Manpower stated, “As soon as we became aware of this video, the individual was placed on immediate leave, and we began an investigation. As a result of this process, the employee is no longer with the organization.”
Kobylarczyk also worked with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
Make-A-Wish Wisconsin also announced that “Shannon resigned from our board of directors this afternoon effective immediately.”
Ricardo Fosado, the Dodgers fan who recorded the video, told WISN that the exchange began as friendly banter with Brewers fans but escalated when one fan took it too far.
“You know what, let’s call ICE,” the woman said, to which Fosado responded, “Call ICE, call ICE. I’m a U.S. citizen, war veteran, baby girl.”
Fosado captured the Dodgers taking a 3-1 lead and began cheering, which prompted the woman, wearing a Brewers shirt, to make the ICE comment.
She then appeared to swing at the camera. Fosado admitted to calling the woman an expletive off camera, after which security removed him from the stadium.
Fosado said he did not intend for the video to go viral.
“Her heart is where it’s at, you know. I can’t do anything about it, nothing that I say that would change her thoughts about me,” Fosado said.
Kobylarczyk declined to comment for the story.
The Milwaukee Brewers issued the following statement Thursday afternoon:
“The Brewers expect all persons attending games to be respectful of each other, and we do not condone in any way offensive statements fans make to each other about race, gender, or national origin. Our priority is to ensure that all in attendance have a safe and enjoyable experience at the ballpark.
“In this instance, the Milwaukee Police Department dealt with the individual who was ejected for actions apart from the events depicted in this video, including disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
“Separately, video shows that the other individual involved in the argument became physical in the course of her interactions with the person who was ejected.
“For these reasons and in accordance with our Guest Code of Conduct specific to ejections and physical confrontations, both fans are being notified that they are not allowed to return to the ballpark for future events.”
