I-41 Northland Avenue interchange set to partially open tonight

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - After a year of construction, part of the new state trunk Highway 15, Northland Avenue interchange, is set to open Monday night.

The on and off ramps for the northbound lanes of I-41 will be available to drivers for Tuesday morning’s commute.

It’s nearly the same layout at the interchange on Oneida Street and Highway 441.

State Department of Transportation officials say the new diamond interchange should cut down on the number of accidents and improve the flow of traffic.

The southbound portion of the interchange will open later this fall.
