Main Street Bridge public construction information meeting to be held August 21 in Oshkosh
Work begins September 2. Bridge will close to vehicle traffic.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region will host a live, online public Construction Information Meeting (CIM) at 4 p.m., Thursday, August 21, to discuss upcoming construction operations on the Main Street Bridge (US 45) over the Fox River in Oshkosh.
Attendees will access the live, online CIM via a Microsoft Teams link on the new US 45/Main Street Bridge Project 511 Construction website.
The purpose of the public CIM is to show upcoming construction scope, schedule, traffic impacts, and business resources.
US 45/Main Street Bridge Rehabilitation Public Construction Information Meeting

This is a rehabilitation-level project. Bridge improvements include:
- Rehabilitate existing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components of the bascule span
- Minor repairs to the operator’s house, hydraulic power units, and access platforms
- Concrete deck repairs and overlay of the fixed approach spans
- Removal and replacement of the steel grid deck on the movable span.
The bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic from Sept. 2, 2025, to April 2026. Detours will be provided for vehicles and pedestrians. Marine impacts from the United States Coast Guard via its Local Notice to Mariners are noted on the project website.
