Two beaches in Winnebago County closed for swimming due to E.Coli bacteria

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Winnebago County Public Health says they have retested the beaches in the county and have closed two of them due to E.Coli bacteria.

Lake Butte des Mortes Boat Landing at 5316 Leonard Point Road in Omro and Winneconne Park at 498 Parkway Drive in Winneconne are both closed.

Winnebago County Public Health says that E.Coli bacteria levels are above 1,000 MPN/100 MLS, which presents a serious risk of illness to the public.
