GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Grand Chute Police Department is showing off its new drone first responder program Friday.
Drones will be able to get to emergencies without dealing with traffic or terrain, and aerial cameras will help first responders get a better understanding of a situation before they arrive on the scene.
The police department says it’s the first agency in Wisconsin to implement this program.
The Paladin Drone as First Responders program says its autonomous drones have logged more than 20,000 flights and average a 90-second response time when a 911 call comes in.
