Appleton woman arrested after pursuit reaching 120 MPH
The driver was reportedly weaving between lanes even when they weren’t being pursued

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A high-speed pursuit overnight reached speeds of 120 miles per hour and resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old Appleton woman, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says.
At about 3:30 a.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol alerted law enforcement it was pursuing a vehicle going south on Interstate 41 in excess of 100 mph.
The state patrol gave up the pursuit, but officers and deputies continued watching for the vehicle.
The sheriff’s office received reports the driver was still going over 100 and weaving in both lanes even though they were no longer being pursued.
A Fond du Lac County deputy resumed the pursuit at the Winnebago County line, where the suspect was now going 110. The driver didn’t stop for the emergency lights and siren and sped up to 120.
A state trooper set tire deflation sticks on I-41 at Townline Rd. The fleeing vehicle hit them, and the driver eventually stopped at County Highway OO after three of their tires had deflated.
The driver was arrested for fleeing and eluding and suspicion of operating while impaired.
