‘Read Your Heart Out’ at Menominee Elementary in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - This Valentine’s Day, students in Oshkosh got a chance to “read their heart out.”

This was the sixth annual event in Oshkosh but the first held at the new Menominee Elementary School.

The event celebrates students’ culture through reading and the arts it featured guest readers, cultural activities, and community engagement in honor of Black History Month and National African American Parent Involvement Day.

There also were interactive cultural activities including drumming circles, art stations, and DJ sessions
