OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - Each year starting on Thanksgiving, Brody Enli brings out the lights and turns up the music for everyone passing through the 1800 block of Westbreeze Drive in Oshkosh.

“My family always used to go around and see Christmas displays and I always thought it was such a cool thing,” says Brody. “I’ve always been into computers and electricity and I thought it would be amazing to do something like that on my own. So six years ago I started running my own Christmas light display for charity.”

That display continues to grow, and Brody even decorates a tree for the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights now, but it’s his home display that the young man’s family is most proud of.

“It’s pretty amazing. Every year I stand here and watch it run and every year I can’t believe that my son did it and that he improves it and takes such pride in it,” says Brody’s father Bronson.

At the light show, there’s also a spot to drop off donations. In the past, Brody has raised $22,500, and he’s hoping to get that number over $30,000 by the 1st of next year.

“This year I’m collecting monetary donations for the Oshkosh Kids Foundation, I’m collecting food donations for the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry and I’m collecting items for children like winter gloves, and mittens to be distributed to various local charities through the Oshkosh Area United Way,” says Brody.

It’s the generosity of the community each and every holiday season that Brody says motivates him to continue doing the light display.

“A lot of people are very supportive of what I do, they’ve been amazing in allowing me to do this and I’m really appreciative of everyone who donates to the show and run every year,” says Brody.

If you want to see the display or donate, it’s at 1874 Westbreeze Drive in Oshkosh, and the lights will be on each night through New Year’s Day.
