Early Thanksgiving dinner in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - In Oshkosh, people enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner a day early.
The Salvation Army served up turkey and all the trimmings at midday on Wednesday.
Different waves of volunteers have been working all week to get the big meal ready.
“We roasted the turkeys on Monday, picked all the meat off yesterday, added it to gravy, worked ahead on sweet potatoes and green bean casserole and all of the traditional foods. And today finished everything off and now we’re ready to serve.,” said Laura Selenka, kitchen coordinator for the Oshkosh Salvation Army.
