Oshkosh police, firefighters team up to rescue kittens in sewer drain

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - Two kittens are safe after a joint rescue mission from the Oshkosh Police and Fire Departments.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday morning, the Oshkosh Police Department posted a screenshot from an Oshkosh Facebook group about two kittens who got trapped in a sewer drain last week.

The photo shows police and firefighters working together to get the two kittens out of the drain and back to safety.

The person who made the post in the group said that the mother of the kittens was seen nearby as the rescue was happening.

“Whether it’s protecting and serving our citizens or rescuing paws, we do whatever we can!” Oshkosh police said in the post.
