Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial comes to Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - The traveling memorial for Vietnam Veterans is in Oshkosh this weekend.
It’s an 80% sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Washington, DC.
The memorial honors members of the U.S. armed forces who fought and died in the Vietnam War.
It’s hosted by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 70. The squadron commander says the memorial means a lot to him as his uncle’s name is on it.
“It’s got a lot of deep personal meaning to it, and just the honor to pay respects to everyone that gave their life that is on this wall," Rick Helms said.
The memorial is on display at the Sunnyview Expo Center until noon on Sunday, Oct. 13.
