Cudahy man walking hundreds of miles to raise money for recovering addicts
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - A man from southeast Wisconsin is trekking hundreds of miles to raise money and awareness for those fighting addiction.
On Sunday, Greg Studzinski arrived in Oshkosh.
A recovered addict himself, Studzinski championed the walk, dubbed “Lake to Lake 500″, several years ago.
The journey will take about nineteen days to complete.Right now he’s a little more than halfway through.
He hopes the money raised can help the United Community Center ease more addicts into recovery.
“I think it’s important to equip us with the best chance to succeed in recovery. And that’s the client making the correct decision and the facility having extra money to do things,” said Studzinski.
His ultimate fundraising goal is $10,000 dollars. So far this year, $7,000 dollars have been raised.
If you’d like to support his cause, you can donate to his GoFundMe.
