Human remains found on Menominee Reservation, FBI and Tribal Police investigating

KESHENA, Wis. (WBAY) - Officials with the Menominee Tribal Police Department say human remains have been recovered on the Menominee Indian Reservation.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page made Wednesday afternoon, officials aren’t identifying the area of recovery at this time, however they add admittance to the area is prohibited until they are finished processing the scene.

Tribal police are asking everyone to refrain from trying to enter the scene if you come across it.

The FBI is investigating the recovery with the Tribal Police Department.

Police didn’t immediately provide a time of when the remains were reported.

Officials say this is an active investigation, and more information will be released at a later time.
