UW-La Crosse 66, UW-Oshkosh 61

The UW-Oshkosh men’s basketball team had its 21-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night on the road against UW-La Crosse. UWO came into the game ranked no. 3 in Division III according to D3hoops.com.

Oshkosh led by five points with three minutes to go but La Crosse scored the final 10 points of the game for the 66-61 win. Oshkosh junior forward Adam Fravert led the Titans with 21 points and 9 rebounds.

UWO has already been crowned the WIAC regular-season champion and will be the top seed in next week’s WIAC tournament.

UW-La Crosse (16-8, 9-4 WIAC) will play UW-Stout on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. on the road.

UW-Oshkosh (22-2, 12-1 WIAC) will play UW-Eau Claire (14-10, 7-6) in its final game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. on the road.

St. Norbert 90, Lawrence 62

The St. Norbert men’s basketball team wrapped up its eight outright Midwest Conference title in the last 10 years on Wednesday night. SNC defeated Lawrence 90-62 for the Green Knights 19th straight win against the Vikings. Wade Geenen led the Green Knights with 20 points. Drew Yetka added 18 points off the bench. Brad Sendell had 21 points for the Vikings.

St. Norbert will host the MWC Tournament on Feb. 22-23.

NCAA DIII Women’s Basketball
UW-Oshkosh 71, UW-La Crosse 62
The UW-Oshkosh women’s team prevailed in the second half against UW-La Crosse. UWL led by as much as eight points in the first half and took a four point advantage into the half.

Both teams came into Wednesday’s game ranked, UWO (15th) and UWL (24th).

UW-Oshkosh’s Olivia Campbell scored career-high 15 points while Isabella Samuels added 14 points and 7 rebounds.

UW-Oshkosh (21-3, 11-2 WIAC) clinches at least a share of its 13th WIAC championship and will finish the regular season against UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Kolf Sports Center. Oshkosh can capture the title outright with a home win against the Blugolds.

UWO clinches first-round bye for next week's six-team WIAC Tournament and will host a semifinal round contest on Feb. 22

St. Norbert 69, Lawrence 46
St. Norbert women’s basketball Head Coach Connie Tilley coached in her final home game for the Green Knights in a 69-46 win against Lawrence. Tilley announced her intention to retire on Jan. 4.

Green Knights Macie Zurfluh led SNC with 15 points.
