UW-Oshkosh beats Whitewater, extends streak to 19 games

To say the UW-Oshkosh men’s basketball team has been on a hot streak is an understatement. UWO, the third ranked team in NCAA Division III defeated UW-Whitewater 85-67 on Monday night at the Kolf Sports Center.

Oshkosh has now won 19 straight games and is a perfect 10-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, both are school records.

UW-Oshkosh had five double-digit scorers including junior Adam Fravert who had 19 points and senior Ben Boots who finished with 16.

UWO (20-1, 10-0 WIAC) will travel to UW-Platteville (13-8, 6-4 WIAC) on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.

NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball
UW-Whitewater 78, UW-Oshkosh 70 (OT)
The 11th ranked UW-Oshkosh women’s basketball team fell in overtime to UW-Whitewater 78-70 on the road. Monday’s loss marks the Titans first road loss of the season.

UWO sophomore Nikki Arneson finished with a career-high 28 points in the loss. Whitewater was led by Emily Schumacher who had 22 points and eight rebounds.

UW-Oshkosh (18-3, 8-2 WIAC) will host UW-Platteville (10-11, 4-6 WIAC) on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the Kolf Sports Center at 7 p.m.
