SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (WBAY) - It's a real-life The Grinch Who Stole Christmas story. The theft of presents by a West Coast Grinch from a Packers defensive star's toy drive won't stop Christmas from coming.
Defensive tackle Kenny Clark is holding his second annual toy drive for kids in San Bernardino, Calif. Wednesday night, when they went to the storage unit to get all the presents they had collected, they found the unit broken into and every single toy stolen.
"My mom, she worked so hard to do it," Clark said in the Packers locker room Thursday. "It's really difficult for her, because she works so hard throughout the whole year putting it together. It's just a messed up situation."
The toy drive reached out for last-minute donations with a GoFundMe page, raising enough money in one day to buy enough toys for more than 200 kids.
Those gifts will be handed out Thursday night.
