Adam Frey, Fox Valley Lutheran Head Coach
“Lux-Casco is always good and they are well coached. They are big and strong and they are physical. And just like every year they really get after it. They are very aggressive so we are talking about ways to kind of combat that a little bit and talking to our guys about this being an old school smash mouth football game. We have got to be ready to step up to that challenge.”

“They are dynamic on offense. They put together a lot of different sets and we have to be ready for everything they can throw at us. The jet sweeps and running it downhill and lining up in strength formations so it will be a challenge for sure so we are hoping our defense is ready for it.

“A lot of people are picking Luxemburg-Casco to win the conference, so rightfully so. They have deserved that and they are great team so to be able to beat a team the second week, that is supposed to win the conference would be awesome for our psyche and for our kids and hopefully if we get that win, hopefully it will take us for a while.”

The Foxes return a number of core players from last season's 6-4 team including junior quarterback Drew Reader and senior running back Zayne Rodencal who led FVL with 1,644 yards and 16 touchdowns a season ago.

Fox Valley Lutheran defeated Clintonville 75-0.
The Foxes scored 62 points in the first half against the Truckers in week one. Quarterback Drew Reader went 15-21 with 339 yards and five touchdown passes. Running back Zayne Rodencal had four touchdown runs on just seven total carries. Newcomer receiver Colten Schild had four catches for 165 yards and three touchdowns in his debut.

Dillon Maney, Luxembug-Casco Head Coach
“They are physical. They have got some big guys up front. They average around 250 pounds and for a high school program that’s obviously pretty impressive. With a great running back and then they have a real nice quarterback with some skilled kids on the outside so we’re going to have our hands full. Our kids know that. We have a target on our back being the conference champs from last year and we need to prepare like that.”
