Bay Port outlasts Kimberly in State Semifinals

The Bay Port girl's basketball team will play for a WIAA Divison 1 State Title on Saturday against Middleton.

Bay Port defeated Kimberly 63-53 in the D1 State Semifinals Friday night at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

Bay Port junior Emma Nagel led the Pirates with 23 points and 13 rebounds in the win. A three pointer by Bay Port's Raegan McIntyre broke a 23-23 tie in the first half. Bay Port would lead the rest of the way.

Kimberly season ends with a 23-4 record. Kimberly's Shea Dechant led the Papermakers with 19 points and five assists.

Bay Port (26-1) will play Middleton (22-5) at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday. Middleton beat Mukwonago 62-63 in the D1 State Semifinals.
