KEWAUNEE, Wis. (WBAY) - Who says you have to be shut in during the coldest months of the year?

Kewaunee County's Winter Park set a new attendance record for the second consecutive season.

The county says 13,674 people visited Winter Park during the 2018-19 season.

Many came to enjoy the snow tubing the park offers, in addition to skiing and snowboarding. The new "Magic Carpet" conveyor lift is also a hit with visitors.

Officials say visitors came from almost 20 states, but day-trippers from surrounding counties were the most common "outsiders" in attendance.
