Ways to help De Pere fire victims

Many friends and organizations are helping the victims of the fire in downtown De Pere, including tenants who escaped with only their pets and lost all their belongings and people who lost their businesses or their jobs.

Poppy Avenue Boutique and nearby stores are putting together kits with clothes and essentials for those affected by Wednesday's fire.

St. Norbert College established a fund on behalf of faculty members Steve Westergan and Jaime Edwards and alum Katie Summers.

Donations can be made at the college Bursar Office, Todd Wehr Hall 128, weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. All funds will be used to provide support for these three members of the St. Norbert community. Make checks payable to St. Norbert College.

GoFundMe for Amanda (click here), a yoga instructor who lost everything in the fire and has a pet. We're told the GoFundMe account was started by her employer.

Ribbon of Hope, a charity that assists local people diagnosed with breast cancer, lost its office of 14 years and all of its supplies, including computers, in the fire. Ribbon of Hope is an eligible charity on AmazonSmile. Place your Amazon orders at https://smile.amazon.com and Amazon donates 0.5% of the purchase price to the charity of your choice. This is available to all customers. So far, AmazonSmile orders have raised $531.31 for Ribbon of Hope, according to Amazon's dashboard.
