A driver is facing several charges after hitting a vehicle pulled over by a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper.
The State Patrol shared dash cam video of the Sept. 4 crash on southbound I-41 in Kaukauna.
At 8:45 p.m., a trooper had pulled over a car for a defective headlight. Moments after the trooper returned to his cruiser, a second car crossed the fog line and barely missed the squad. The second vehicle crashed into the car pulled over on the side of the road.
The driver of the car that was hit was taken to a hospital with what's believed to be non-life threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The driver of the second car is facing several charges.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says this incident highlights the importance of the Move Over Law. The law requires drivers to change lanes or slow down when coming up on emergency or maintenance vehicles flashing warning lights.
