OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - Exhibitors are setting up for the world's biggest air show.
Planes carrying early arrivals for EAA AirVenture sit on the grass near the Wittman Regional Airport runways.
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 kicks off Monday, July 24, and runs through Sunday, July 30.
Historic aviation achievements, legendary pilots and groundbreaking innovations are all featured at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.
Friday, vendors were allowed in to start setting up for the show which will see more than a half-million people walk through the admission gates or arrive on the tarmac.
"They're flying their airplanes. It's the state of the show, it's the start of what we call aviation family reunion -- people coming together and seeing folks they haven't seen in a year. The companies running around getting their last second things done on their exhibits and just saying what's happening next, what's going to come up," EAA Senior Communications Director Dick Knapinski said.
