GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A De Pere businessman is agreeing to plead guilty in a federal fraud case.
Ronald Van Den Heuvel is accused of defrauding Wisconsin's Economic Development Agency and other investors out of more than $9 million.
He agreed to a plea deal with federal prosecutors and plans to plead guilty to one count of wire fraud. Thirteen other charges would be dismissed.
Prosecutors will ask for a prison sentence up to seven-and-a-half years simultaneous with the three year sentence Van Den Heuvel received in January for defrauding Horicon Bank out of more than $700,000.
