Two people suffer life-threatening injuries after crash in Outagamie County

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) -- Two people are seriously hurt after a crash in Outagamie County on Wednesday.

The Outagamie County Sheriff's office says the crash happened at the intersection of County Highway JJ and County Highway J in the town of Vandenbroek just after noon on Wednesday.

Authorities say a vehicle traveling westbound on CTH JJ failed to yield from a stop sign and was struck by a box truck traveling southbound on CTH J.

Deputies say a 29-year-old Wrightstown man and his passenger, a 28-year-old Wrightstown woman, were taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the box truck, a 30-year-old Schofield man, was not injured.

The intersection was closed for about five hours.

Names of those involved have not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
