Two charged after attempted armed robbery

Two people have been charged after attempting to rob someone at gunpoint in Green Bay.

Green Bay Police say the incident happened on September 13 around midnight on South Oneida Street and 9th Street.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim was walking home from work, when two men tried to rob him at gunpoint with BB pellet guns.

The criminal complaint says the victim gave the two men his backpack, which the men sifted through, but didn't take anything.

The suspects gave the victim his backpack and walked away.

Robert James Polinske, 22, of West Bend, Wisconsin has been charged with attempted armed robbery, as a party to a crime.

Christian Michael Bailey-Steenport, 19, of Jackson, Wisconsin has been charged with attempted armed robbery, as a party to a crime and obstructing an officer.

Bond has been set at $10,000 for Bailey-Steenport. He is due back in court on September 26.
