The Two Rivers Police Department says a man is facing multiple charges after a standoff with police outside an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Adams Street.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Adams Street at 9:55 for a domestic situation. A woman and her infant child got out of the complex safely, but the man got in a standoff with police—claiming to have weapons, and threatening to shoot the officers.
When the man refused arrest, officers set up a perimeter and had to evacuate all of the residences in the area.
The Manitowoc County Emergency Response team and negotiators were still on the scene at 1:15 P.M., attempting to take the man into custody. Updated information came into the Action 2 Newsroom at 1:35 saying the man was in custody.
At 3:25 p.m., the Two Rivers Police Department said they would recommend the suspect be charged with threats to law enforcement, failure to comply with officer's attempts to take a person into custody, intimidation of a victim, domestic battery, criminal damage to property and possession of drugs. The suspect is being held in the Manitowoc County Jail.
