Three hurt in New London head-on crash

Three people were hurt in a head-on crash in New London Thursday evening.
Police were called to Highway 45, south of Highway 54, at about 6:11 p.m.
Police say a vehicle traveling south on Highway 45 tried to pass another vehicle and crashed into a northbound vehicle.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 40-year-old Michigan man, was taken to a hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries, police say.
Two people in the northbound car also suffered injuries.
A 61-year-old Marion woman was airlifted to a Neenah hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, a 62-year-old Marion woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The highway was closed for about four hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
Police have not released names of the victims.
