Thousands expected at Community First Fox Cities Marathon

NEENAH, Wis. (WBAY) - Activities got underway Friday night before thousands of people will take to the streets of the Neenah-Menasha area for the Community First Fox Cities Marathon.

The marathon weekend kicked off with a kids fun run, diaper dash and toddler trot.

Saturday our Action 2 News This Morning team took part at the Ascension 5K runwalk at Riverside Park in Neenah. You can view the coverage on both Facebook and Instagram.

The team reoprted nearly 1,000 people took part on Saturday.

The full marathon is Sunday, Sept. 22. It starts at 7 a.m. at UW-Oshkosh Fox Valley Campus in Menasha and ends at Riverside Park in Neenah.

The OSMS Health & Wellness Expo and packet pickup will continue Saturday at 9 a.m. at UW-Fox Valley Field House & Baehman Theatre.
In-person registration will be possible at the expo and 5K.
