The final Good Time: Bret Michaels to close out Brown County Arena

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Every cowboy will sing a sad, sad song when the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena closes its doors for good. But the stadium is going out with a bang, courtesy of Poison rocker Bret Michaels.

In poetic fashion, Michaels will perform the final concert at the arena on April 6, 2019.

Poison's video for the 1988 hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was filmed at Brown County Arena. Michaels has headlined the venue six times.

“I consider the people of Green Bay three generations of amazing friends and family,” Michaels says. “They love their football, they love their rock ‘n’ roll, having a great time, and they love giving back to great charities equally— all of which I can relate to.”

The "Nothing But A Good Time For the Last Time" concert will feature the Bret Michaels Band, Warrant and Lita Ford.

The concert is a stop on the Rock of Love star's "Unbroken" world tour.

"We're going to be doing an unbelievable donation to some great charities from portions of the tickets sold and items we're auctioning off that night," Michaels says.

Money will go to Make A Wish Wisconsin, Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary and JDRF of Northeast Wisconsin.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 16 at 10 a.m.
