The owner of the car, Breanna Gessay, reported her Buick Verano stolen around 7:30 a.m. after coming out of her apartment to find it wasn't in the parking lot.

"I thought, well maybe I parked in a different spot and just forgot; but nope, it was just gone," said Gessay.

The OnStar service on the vehicle helped deputies trace the car to I-41 and County Road U in the Town of Kaukauna.

Outagamie County deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but it sped away.

OnStar disabled the car on County Road U. The vehicle ended up at the Apple Creek Campground in the Town of Wrightstown. It stopped at the playground area.

Deputies took the 17-year-old driver into custody.

No one was hurt, but Gessay says her car was damaged on the inside and the outside.

"The full car was covered in cherry NyQuil, there were two wine bottles that they found in there, case of hard Seltzer, like wine cooler...a vape found in there, pills scattered everywhere," explains Gessay.

She says one of the side mirrors is now gone and there's damage to the wind shield.

While she waits for the full damage report, Gessay is searching for a new car, which also has OnStar.

"I didn't even know if it was going to work and it did and I can't believe they didn't ask for any payment, nothing. The girl [at OnStar] literally saved the day."

The Outagamie County Sheriff's Office received help from several local agencies.
