Suring teacher pleads not guilty to assaulting student

OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Suring teacher charged with multiple counts of sexually assaulting a student has pleaded not guilty to all counts against him.

Timothy Grimes, 24, appeared in Oconto County court Friday for an arraignment hearing. He pleaded not guilty to six charges of Sex Assault of Student by School Staff.

On July 25, an investigator met with a 17-year-old girl at a center for victims of child abuse. She told investigators she was there because her teacher was "doing sexual things with me."

The victim said Grimes was one of her teachers at Suring High School.

The Suring School District placed Grimes on administrative leave.

Grimes is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial conference on Nov. 9.
