FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) -- UPDATE 8/12:

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office has released names and additional information in a multiple vehicle crash on I-41.

The crash happened Aug. 10 at about 4:30 p.m.

It started as a traffic stop north of Townline Road in the Township of Eldorado. A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper had pulled over a southbound vehicle and requested backup from the Sheriff's Office and Police. Southbound traffic was slowing down as vehicles merged into the fast lane to avoid the law enforcement vehicles.

A semi truck hauling 30,000 pounds of groceries was unable to slow in time and rear ended the vehicle in front of it. This caused a chain reaction crash involving the semi and five other vehicles.

Vehicle #3 rolled and came to rest in the median on its roof.
