Robinson Metal expanding to Manitowoc

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WBAY) - A metal fabricator is expanding its Custom Enclosures Division operations to Manitowoc.

Robinson Metal says it will start producing custom enclosures at its new Manitowoc facility as early as May 2018.

The company plans to hire 30 employees at the facility located at 3401 S. 30th Street. It's a former production facility for Manitowoc Crane Group.

“As our custom enclosures business increases, we are quickly outgrowing our facility in De Pere. We were fortunate to find a turn-key solution with the building and the skilled workforce in Manitowoc,” said Sam Thomas, operations manager for Robinson Metal, Inc.

Robinson Metal is based in De Pere. The company says it specializes in "weather protective drop-overs to turnkey sound attenuated enclosures and handles all facets of the products in-house to control quality, lead time and manufacturing costs."
