GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - You may have seen public works trucks out and about Thursday, pre-treating roads in advance of Friday's expected snowfall.
Green Bay Public Works Director Steve Grenier says they'll continue to treat the roads throughout the day Friday and monitor the weather system as it develops.
StormCenter 2 says computer models were trending downward, from 1 to 3 inches of snow in early estimates to about an inch in the latest reports Thursday night.
Grenier says the department is ready for any change from what's expected.
"At this point in time we are anticipating this to be a spreading operation, not a plowing operation. But if things were to change, and we do need to go into a full plow, we have made those advisories to our staff so that they can plan accordingly for their weekend as well," Grenier said.
