Ram no longer on the lam
Outagamie County deputies spent Thursday afternoon in a standoff with a ram on the lam. Now the ram is behind baa-rs.
The ram has been spotted in Central and Western Outagamie County. There have been sightings in Mackville. He was nearly detained Wednesday in the Town of Ellington.
The ram has been able to pull the wool over the eyes of deputies--until now.
On Thursday, deputies tracked him down on a farm on Hooyman Road in Shiocton, where they cornered the ram inside the barn. Deputies planned to corral the ram into a pen inside the barn and wait until Friday to remove him.
The ram is safe and will be transferred to the Greenville Zoo, which the sheriff's office says stepped forward to say it would take the wayward ram.
The Outagamie County Sheriff's Office nearly caught the ram on Wednesday. He was running loose on Mayflower Road in Ellington at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon. Deputies "briefly contained" him but he got away.
