BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Every March, a cheese shop in Denmark is known for selling something a little different, purple cupcakes.
The Great Purple Cupcake Project starts on Monday to raise awareness about epilepsy. This coincides with Wear Purple Day.
The bake sale happens around the country. Blossoms and Steve's Cheese will be selling 200 dozen cupcakes for awareness. It's close to the heart of owner Tammy Sommer and her daughter McKinley, who suffers from epilepsy.
This year, 11-year-old McKinley was featured on bookmarks about what you can do if you see someone suffering some a seizure.
The sale ends at 5 p.m.
