APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) -- Teams showed their strength at the Appleton International Airport on Saturday as they attempted to pull a 200,000 pound plane for charity.
Money from the fundraising event went to Old Glory Honor Flight in Greenville. The organization's mission is to offer World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans a tour of the nation's capital.
Each 20 person team took its turn at pulling a FedEx Airbus 300 plane 12 feet.
Prizes were awarded to the top three fastest pulls, most funds raised, slowest pulls, and best team costume.
The event drew a crowd of about 2,000 people to the airport.
Other events included a children's pull, military and civilian aircraft displays, veteran exhibits and a cook out.
About $70,000 was raised for Old Glory Honor Flight through the event.
