BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Looking for its fifth win in six tries, Green Bay fell behind early at Bowling Green and could never gain any traction, eventually falling 97-68 on Saturday night at the Stroh Center in nonconference action. The loss snaps a two-game winning streak for the Phoenix (5-4), who entered averaging 86.5 PPG but was held to a season-low 68 points against the Falcons (5-5).
Sandy Cohen III (16 points), ShanQuan Hemphill (10 points) and PJ Pipes (13 points) all finished in double-figures, but GB shot only 36.5 percent (23-for-63) from the field and trailed by as many as 35 points in the game. Bowling Green led by 22 points at halftime and GB never got closer than 20 points in the second half.
GB looks to bounce back against UW-Stout on Tuesday night (Dec. 11) at the Kress Center.
