Packers Tailgate Tour surprises Appleton and Oshkosh students

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - Surprise! Appleton and Oshkosh students met their heroes Tuesday when the Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour rolled into the Fox Valley.

The tour makes planned and surprise visits to schools and organizations in Wisconsin and neighboring states.

The tour bus left Lambeau Field Tuesday morning and traveled to Appleton North High School for a surprise visit.

The next surprise stop was at Oshkosh West High School.

The tour includes official stops in Verona (April 10); Monticello, Iowa (April 11); Janesville (April 12); Milwaukee (April 13); and West Bend (April 14).

The Packers will make more surprise visits along the way.

Current players Kenny Clark, Blake Martinez, and Ty Montgomery are on the trip. Alumni Rob Davis, Antonio Freeman, and Bubba Franks are also on the bus.

The players are joined by Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy.

Proceeds from the Tailgate Tour go to charitable organizations.
