Oshkosh man fatally beaten in Iowa bar
An Oshkosh man was fatally beaten at a bar in Iowa Wednesday night. Now the charge against an Iowa man is upgraded to Murder in the 1st Degree, Urbandale Police said Friday.
An emergency call came Wednesday just before midnight to Escape Lounge in Urbandale, Iowa. Police and medics found Joshua Sadlon with severe injuries from a physical assault.
Multiple reports in Iowa media say Sadlon was punched several times in the face and head, then picked up and thrown to the concrete floor.
Police reported at 10:30 Friday morning that Sadlon died at the hospital.
Rodney Henricksen, 48, from nearby Johnston, Iowa, was quickly identified as a suspect and arrested Thursday morning at his home, which is a mile-and-a-half from the bar.
He was initially charged Thursday with attempted murder.
