Oshkosh man injured from severe knife wounds

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – A 28-year-old man suffered serious life-threatening injuries Saturday after police say he was stabbed multiple times in Oshkosh.

Around 2 p.m., the Oshkosh Police Department responded to the 1000 block of West New York Avenue for a call involving a knife.

When police got there, authorities found a man with numerous knife wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities say the suspect, a 24-year-old man, was taken into custody with minor injuries. He has been arrested for Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and a parole violation.

No one else was injured and police say there is no threat to the city of Oshkosh.

Both men involved live in the multi-unit house in which the scene took place.
