NWTC students convert trash into treasure
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College students are getting creative to turn trash into treasure.
Miron Construction hosted a special day of events in Neenah Friday ahead of Earth Day.
Students in NWTC's architectural technology program created projects using repurposed materials.
"This is probably the best year for student projects," Miron Construction sustainable services manager Chad Pingel said. "There are some that are pretty average, but for the most part most are above average from doing this in years past."
The American Institute of Architects and Miron employees gave out awards in categories including Most Sustainable, Most Creative, and "Most Likely to be in an Architect's Office."
There was also a Contractor's Choice Award presented by Miron.
